🟦 SECTION 1: FOUNDATIONAL TEXT REVIEW

Adult Bible Passage:

πŸ“– Colossians 1:16–17 – What Does This Reveal About Christ?

β€œFor by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

Paul declares that:

  • All things in heaven and on earth were created by Him (v16a)

  • Things visible and invisible were created by Him (v16b)

  • Thrones, dominions, principalities and powers were created by Him (v16c)

  • All things were created by Him and for Him (v16d)

  • He is before all things (v17a)

  • By Him all things consist (v17b)

πŸ”Ž Reflection: What does this passage reveal about Christ’s supremacy and sustaining power?

YAYA Bible Passage:

πŸ“– 1 Chronicles 29:10–12 – What Did David Declare?

10 Therefore David blessed the Lord before all the assembly; and David said:

β€œBlessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And You are exalted as head over all.

12 Both riches and honor come from You,
And You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all.

David acknowledged:

  • God as the God of Israel (v10)

  • Greatness, power, glory, victory and majesty belong to Him (v11a)

  • Everything in heaven and earth belongs to Him (v11b)

  • Riches and honour come from Him (v12a)

  • In His hand is power and might (v12b)

πŸ”Ž Reflection: What does this reveal about God's sovereignty?

🟦 SECTION 2: ADULT FOCUS

THE OMNIFICENT GOD

πŸ”₯ What is Omnificence?

The word omnificence refers to the unlimited creative ability of God β€” His power to create all things from nothing.

Genesis 1:1 establishes God as Creator:

β€œIn the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Colossians 1:16–17 further reveals that:

  • All things in heaven and on earth were created by Him

  • Things visible and invisible

  • Thrones, dominions, principalities and powers

  • All things were created by Him and for Him

  • By Him all things consist (He sustains them)

God does not only create β€” He maintains and sustains.

🌍 Omnificence and Other Divine Attributes

God’s omnificence works together with:

  • Omnipotence (All-powerful)

  • Omniscience (All-knowing)

Jeremiah 10:12 and Proverbs 3:19 show that God created the earth by His power and wisdom.

His creative acts are expressions of His attributes (Romans 1:20).

🧍 Man in the Image of an Omnificent God

Although man is not omnificent, he was created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26).

This means:

  • Man possesses creativity

  • Man can innovate

  • Man can develop ideas

  • Man reflects divine intelligence

However, man can only create from what God has already created.

God creates ex nihilo (out of nothing).
Man rearranges what God has made.

🟨 SECTION 3: YAYA FOCUS

THE KINGDOM OF GOD (THEOS BASILEIA)

πŸ“˜ A. Meaning

Theos = God
Basileia = Kingdom, rule, royalty

The Kingdom of God refers to God’s sovereign rule.

πŸ‘‘ B. Three Aspects of the Kingdom

1️⃣ Universal Kingdom

God’s eternal sovereign rule over all creation.
(Daniel 4:3; Psalm 47:2, 7–8)

God reigns over the entire universe.

2️⃣ Mediatorial Kingdom

God works through chosen representatives to execute His will.
(Revelation 20:4–6; Revelation 21–22)

This includes:

  • Prophets

  • Kings

  • Apostles

  • Christ’s millennial reign (Revelation 20:4–6)

It connects human history to the eternal kingdom (Revelation 21–22).

3️⃣ Spiritual Kingdom

The invisible reign of God in the hearts of believers.
(Luke 17:20–21; John 3:5–7)

βœ” Requires repentance (Matthew 4:17)
βœ” Requires being born again (John 3:5–7)
βœ” Requires submission to Christ

Jesus declared:

β€œMy kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)

C. Seeking the Kingdom

Matthew 6:33 commands believers to:

  • Seek first God’s Kingdom

  • Prioritize righteousness

  • Trust God for provision

The Kingdom produces:

  • Righteousness

  • Peace

  • Joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17)

It is not merely rules β€” it is transformed living.

🟩 SECTION 4: CONNECT THE DOTS

How Both Classes Connect

Adult Class β†’ God’s Creative Power
YAYA Class β†’ God’s Sovereign Kingdom

Together they reveal:

πŸ‘‰ God is both Creator AND King
πŸ‘‰ His power establishes His rule
πŸ‘‰ His kingdom requires submission

Creation reveals His authority.
The kingdom demands our obedience.

🟧 SECTION 5: HEART TRANSFORMATION

The Kingdom of God is not merely theology.

It produces:

  • Righteousness

  • Peace

  • Joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17)

πŸ”Ž Ask Yourself:

β€’ Is God truly ruling my decisions?
β€’ Do I submit to His authority?
β€’ Am I seeking His kingdom first?
β€’ Does my life reflect His creative purpose?

If God truly rules my heart:

  • I submit.

  • I obey.

  • I surrender.

  • I seek first His Kingdom.

Matthew 6:33 reminds us:

Seek FIRST the kingdom.

Not second. Not when convenient.

πŸŸ₯ SECTION 6: LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

πŸ† COMPETITION PREPARATION

If you are representing RCCG HoD in the regional competition:

For this lesson, focus on:

βœ” Definitions (Omnificence, Kingdom)
βœ” Memory Verses, Key Scriptures & References
βœ” Three aspects of the Kingdom
βœ” Differences between:

  • Omnipotence & Omnificence

  • Kingdom of God & Kingdom of Heaven

βœ” Can you explain the three aspects clearly?
βœ” Can you differentiate Universal vs Spiritual kingdom?
βœ” Can you connect Omnificence to Sovereignty?
βœ” Can you defend your answer with Scripture?

Leaders must go beyond memorization β€” to articulation.
