LESSON 10 – MIRACLES / SPIRITUAL MATURITY
📅 9th November 2025
📖 Adult Bible Text: Mark 16:17–20
📖 YAYA Bible Text: Hebrews 5:12–14
🧠 Adult Memory Verse: Acts 5:12 (KJV)
🧠 YAYA Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV)
🔹 Theme Overview
This week’s lessons focus on two powerful dimensions of the Christian life: experiencing God’s supernatural power and growing into spiritual maturity.
The Adult lesson (Miracles) teaches that miracles are real manifestations of God’s power that confirm His presence and the truth of the Gospel.
The YAYA lesson (Spiritual Maturity) emphasizes that believers must grow beyond spiritual infancy and develop into Christlike maturity.
Together, these lessons reveal an important truth:
👉 God performs miracles, but He also expects believers to grow spiritually.
When believers understand these principles, they will:
strengthen their faith in God’s power
recognize God’s supernatural work in everyday life
grow beyond spiritual immaturity
develop Christlike character and discipline
🧠 The Christian life requires both faith in God’s power and growth in spiritual maturity.
Adult:
📖 Acts 5:12 (KJV)
“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.”
YAYA:
📖 1 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV)
“For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?"
Adult Bible Passage:
📖 Mark 16:17–20
Jesus declared that signs and miracles would accompany those who believe.
YAYA Bible Passage:
📖 Hebrews 5:12–14
The writer rebukes believers who had remained spiritually immature instead of growing deeper in faith.

👉 Believers must both believe in God's miraculous power and pursue spiritual growth.
Adult Bible Passage:
📖 Mark 16:17–20 — Signs That Follow Believers
In this passage, Jesus explained that believers would operate in supernatural authority.
From the passage we learn:
Believers will cast out demons in Jesus’ name (v17)
They will speak with new tongues (v17)
They will overcome dangerous situations without harm (v18)
They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover (v18)
After Jesus ascended, the disciples went everywhere preaching while the Lord confirmed His word with miracles (v19–20)
These signs demonstrate that God still works through believers today.
🔎 Reflection: Do I believe that God still performs miracles today?
YAYA Bible Passage:
📖 Hebrews 5:12–14 — Growing Beyond Spiritual Infancy
In this passage, The writer rebuked believers who had remained spiritually immature.
From the passage we learn:
Some believers should already be teachers but still need to be taught basic principles (v12)
They still require “milk” instead of “solid food” (v12)
Those who live on milk are inexperienced in the word of righteousness (v13)
Mature believers are those who train their senses to discern good and evil (v14)
This passage emphasizes that spiritual maturity requires deliberate growth and discipline.
🔎 Reflection: Am I growing deeper in my spiritual walk or remaining spiritually stagnant?
ADULT CLASS
YAYA CLASS
A miracle is an extraordinary event that demonstrates God’s supernatural intervention in human affairs. Miracles reveal God’s power, love, and presence in the lives of believers.

How Both Classes Connect
Adult Class → Experiencing God’s supernatural power
YAYA Class → Growing into spiritual maturity
Together they reveal:
👉 Spiritual growth prepares believers to carry God’s power responsibly.
Miracles reveal God’s power.
Maturity reveals God’s character.
Both are essential for a balanced Christian life.
Growing in Gifts and Character
God desires believers who grow spiritually while trusting His supernatural power.
📖 Jeremiah 33:3
A balanced Christian life requires:
faith
spiritual discipline
obedience
spiritual growth
🔎 Ask Yourself:
Do I believe that God still performs miracles today?
Am I growing spiritually or remaining immature?
Do I feed regularly on God’s Word?
Do my actions reflect spiritual maturity?
A believer who grows spiritually will:
develop strong faith
discern truth from deception
live a disciplined Christian life
reflect Christ’s character
