🔥 What Are Sensual Pleasures?

Sensual pleasures are carnal or worldly gratifications that gradually replace love for God.

They occur when:

• Comfort becomes the goal of life

• Gratification replaces discipline

• Desire overrides obedience

• Pleasure becomes a person’s god

The Bible warns that in the last days people will become lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. (2 Timothy 3:4)

When pleasure governs the heart, spiritual sensitivity begins to decline.

⚠ Dangers of Pleasure-Driven Living

Scripture highlights several consequences:

🌍 A Culture of Pleasure ("The Soft Life")

Modern society and culture constantly promotes:

• Entertainment without restraint

• Luxury without discipline

• Comfort without sacrifice

• Happiness without righteousness

But Scripture reminds believers:
👉 Not everything that feels good is good for the soul.

A believer must choose purpose over pleasure.

👉 When every man is eager only for what he can get, and anxious to keep what he has, it makes men dangerous to one another.

Our first responsibility is to remember that we did not create ourselves.
