📅7th June 2026
📖 Adult Bible Text: Esther 3:1–5
📖 YAYA Bible Text: Joshua 2:1–6, 12–13
🧠 Adult Memory Verse: Esther 6:13 (KJV)
🧠 YAYA Memory Verse: Hebrews 11:31 (NKJV)
🔹 Theme Overview
This week’s lessons explores two powerful lives—Mordecai and Rahab—who demonstrated courage, faith, and alignment with God despite difficult circumstances:
The Adult lesson (Mordecai) focuses on standing firm in righteousness, loyalty, and courage in the face of opposition.
The YAYA lesson (Rahab) highlights faith, transformation, and the power of aligning with God even from a sinful background.
Together, these lessons reveal:
👉 God honours those who stand for Him and those who turn to Him in faith—regardless of their past.
When believers apply these truths, they will:
Stand boldly for righteousness
Make wise, faith-driven decisions
Experience transformation and divine elevation
Secure blessings for themselves and their household
🧠 God rewards courage, faith, and alignment—whether through standing firm (Mordecai) or turning fully to Him (Rahab).
Adult:
Esther 6:13 (KJV)
“And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.”
YAYA:
Hebrews 11:31 (NKJV)
“By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace”
Adult Bible Passage: Esther 3:1–5
YAYA Bible Passage: Joshua 2:1–6, 12–13

👉 Believers must stand for God with courage and align with Him by faith to experience divine preservation and elevation.
Adult Bible Passage:
📖 Esther 3:1–5 — Mordecai Refuses to Bow
This passage reveals uncompromising loyalty to God over human authority.
From the passage:
King Ahasuerus promoted Haman above all princes (v1)
All the king’s servants bowed to Haman (v2)
Mordecai refused to bow or pay homage (v2)
The servants questioned Mordecai’s disobedience (v3)
They reported him to Haman after repeated refusal (v4)
Haman became furious when he saw Mordecai would not bow (v5)
🔎 Reflection: Are there situations where you are pressured to compromise your faith?
YAYA Bible Passage:
📖 Joshua 2:1–6, 12–13 — Rahab Protects the Spies
This passage reveals faith expressed through action and bold decision-making.
From the passage we learn:
Rahab received and hid the spies (v1–4)
She misdirected the king’s men to protect them (v5–6)
She negotiated for the safety of her household (v12–13)
