📅12th July 2026
📖 Adult Bible Text: Matthew 25:13–30
📖 YAYA Bible Text: Luke 5:27–32
🧠 Adult Memory Verse: Matthew 25:13 (KJV)
🧠 YAYA Memory Verse: Galatians 6:10 (NKJV)
🔹 Theme Overview
This week’s lessons focus on kingdom responsibility and practical expressions of the Gospel.
The Adult lesson (Occupy Till I Come – Part 2) emphasizes the importance of using, investing, and multiplying the resources God has entrusted to us for kingdom impact.
The YAYA lesson (Welfare Evangelism) highlights how acts of love, kindness, and provision can serve as powerful tools for winning souls.
Together, these lessons reveal an important spiritual truth:
👉Kingdom impact requires both faithful stewardship and compassionate outreach.
When believers apply these lessons, they will:
maximize their God-given resources
engage actively in kingdom service
demonstrate God’s love in practical ways
win souls through both action and message
🧠 True occupation until Christ returns involves both productivity and compassion.
Adult:
Matthew 25:13 (KJV)
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
YAYA:
Galatians 6:10 (NKJV)
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Adult Bible Passage: Matthew 25:13–30
YAYA Bible Passage: Luke 5:27–32

👉Believers must faithfully use what God has given them and extend His love through practical acts of service.
Adult Bible Passage:
📖 Matthew 25:13–30 — The Parable of the Talents
This passage reveals God’s expectation that believers actively use and multiply the resources entrusted to them, rather than neglect or bury them.
From the passage we learn:
God entrusts resources (talents) to His servants according to their ability (v14–15)
Faithful servants traded and multiplied what they received (v16–17)
The master commended the faithful servant:
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (v21)
“Thou hast been faithful over a few things” (v21)
“I will make thee ruler over many things” (v21)
The unfaithful servant hid his talent out of fear (v25)
The talent was taken from him and given to another (v28)
The unprofitable servant was cast into outer darkness (v30)
🔎 Reflection: Am I actively investing what God has entrusted to me or neglecting it?
YAYA Bible Passage:
📖 Luke 5:27–32 — Jesus Calls Levi (Matthew)
This passage shows how encountering Christ leads to transformation and outreach to others, often through practical engagement and hospitality.
From the passage we learn:
Jesus called Levi to follow Him (v27)
Levi immediately left everything and followed Jesus (v28)
Levi organized a great feast and invited others (v29)
Jesus used the gathering to minister to sinners (v30–31)
Jesus declared His mission to call sinners to repentance (v32)
🔎 Reflection: How does doubt affect my ability to act on God’s assignments?
ADULT CLASS
YAYA CLASS
In our previous lesson, we discovered that "the pound" in Jesus' parables (Luke 19:11-27) describes the heavenly resources entrusted to God's children for kingdom business. God knows our abilities and distributes resources accordingly (Matthew 25: 14-15).
🔥 A. KEEPING THE “POUND”
To “keep the pound” means to bury or refuse to use one’s God-given resources
Reasons people keep their “pound”:
1️⃣ Fear (Luke 19:20–21)
Fear prevents people from taking action
2️⃣ Negativity (Numbers 13:31–33)
Focus on failure instead of possibility
3️⃣ Reluctance to take risks (Jonah 1:1–3)
Avoiding responsibility and divine assignment
👉 Some storms may even arise as God’s way of drawing attention to neglected gifts
👉 The consequence of inaction is grave (Luke 19:24)
🌍 B. INVESTING THE “POUND”
To invest the pound means to engage in kingdom business and produce results (1 Corinthians 12:7)
Ways to invest effectively:
1️⃣ Determination (Ezra 7:10; Genesis 11:4–6)
2️⃣ Diligence (Proverbs 22:29; Proverbs 6:6–11)
3️⃣ Focus on divine assignment (Hebrews 12:1–2)
4️⃣ Reinvest profits (discipleship) (Matthew 28:19; 2 Timothy 2:2)
5️⃣ Patience and endurance (Luke 8:15; Romans 8:17–18)
6️⃣ Prayer for growth (Colossians 1:9–13)
7️⃣ Support kingdom work and outreach (Mark 10:21; Philippians 4:15–16)
👉 The time to invest is now—Christ will reward every believer (Revelation 22:12)
Evangelism refers to the art of preaching the gospel. It is from the Greek word evangelion which means gospelling. Evangelism is about sharing/spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ and encouraging others to accept Him as their Lord and Saviour. One of the methods of sharing the message is the Welfare Evangelism.
📘 A. Welfare Evangelism Explained
Welfare evangelism is sharing the Gospel through acts of kindness and provision, reaching people in practical ways.
It includes:
financial support
food and care
health assistance
social responsibility initiatives
Forms include:
orphanage evangelism
hospital evangelism
prison outreach
community service
👉 God’s kindness leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4)
👉 Jesus’ ministry was rooted in compassion (Matthew 14:14)
👑 B. Benefits of Welfare Evangelism
1️⃣ Attracts and retains people through love (John 6:23–27)
2️⃣ Softens hearts and opens doors for the Gospel (Proverbs 18:16)
3️⃣ Waters previously sown seeds (1 Corinthians 3:6; Matthew 15:32)
4️⃣ Helps believers overcome fear in evangelism (Romans 12:10)
5️⃣ Demonstrates God’s care and draws people to Him (Acts 2:44–47)
👉 Even simple acts—like sharing food or water—can become powerful evangelistic tools
